Drinking Troughs
This traditional Drinking Trough is used on the majority of outdoor units in Europe. We construct ours in hot-dipped galvanised steel for maximum corrosion resistance and longevity, with dividing bars to prevent sows from climbing in and fouling the water.
Troughs can be supplied with the water service box mounted either at one end for use in a single paddock, or centrally, so it can be located in the fence line to serve two paddocks at once.
All Drinking Troughs measure 1’6″ wide and 1’1″ deep, and are available in 4′0” and 8′0” lengths. They’re supplied complete with clean water service box, brass valve and plastic float.
Wallow Troughs
Wallow Troughs allow sows to express natural behaviour, while ensuring they have constant access to the clean water supply they need for health, welfare and condition.
A Wallow Trough enables sows to create mud wallows in the farrowing paddock. This gives them an opportunity to express natural wallowing behaviour, which is important for their welfare, and allows them to keep cool in summer, which helps maintain condition.
Our Wallow Trough includes a clean water service box, mounted centrally to serve two paddocks or at one end for a single paddocks, with a brass valve with plastic float.
Wallow Troughs measure 2’4″ wide and 8″ deep, and are available in 4′0”, 6’6″ and 8′0” lengths.
